Good Morning Grade 1's!
Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a very restful and relaxing Easter weekend with your families!
Today the question of the day for you to think about is: What is something that you love?
This weeks song is called "I Love the Mountains". Listen to the song and see if you can answer these questions:
Where is this family going?
What are all the things they love that they sing about in the song?
Can you name 2 different instruments that are being played in the song.
This week, ask your parents to help you go onto this site. You will play a music listening game called "SAME OR DIFFERENT". You will listen to two sounds one after the other and pick if they are the same tone or different tones. See how well you do. Have a great week, see you again Thursday.
Take Care,
Ms Onyido

Good Morning Grade 1's!
Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another week of online learning. I hope your families are staying healthy and encouraged.
This week, the question of the day is: What are you looking forward to the most about Summer?
This week, we will practice our rhythms using body percussion by learning a simple song and game. The song is called Bim Bum and it involves doing three movements, clapping, snapping, and patting your lap. The video shows you exactly which movements to do during each part of the song. It starts off slow and gets faster, but you don't have to do the fast part if its too difficult :)
Next, log onto musicplayonline.com and complete the echo rhythm practice exercises 1 & 2. You can clap the rhythms out or play on an instrument if you have one.
Enjoy!

![]() Happy Monday Grade 1's
It is with great sadness that I must announce today is my last day as your music teacher. Fortunately Ms Thompson will be coming back and take over your music for the remainder of the year. She will be reaching out to you some time this week or next with a different medium of communication. I just wanted to say that it was an absolute blast getting to know you all and teaching you music this year. I will miss each and everyone of you and I hope I can come back soon and visit. You are all such amazing students and a pleasure to teach. For your final music work from me, we will continue to explore rhythm. Please log onto musicplay to complete the flashcard play along activity. you will clap along with the notes on the screen. Next, click here to go to chrome music lab and experiment with rhythm. Look at the different shapes on the bottom of the screen that they are using to play each rhythm. Wishing you all the best! Take Care, ms Onyido |
